And it’s not just for women—while liposuction leads the rankings, breast lift procedures have also surged in popularity. In 2023, breast lifts ranked fourth, but they climbed to second place in 2024, boasting a 95% patient satisfaction rate.
Following closely is the tummy tuck, which has maintained its position with the same 95% satisfaction rate. Breast augmentation, which previously held the second spot in 2023, dropped to fourth place. Lastly, rhinoplasty rounds out the top five. However, its growth was modest, increasing by only 45% from 2023 to 2024, pushing blepharoplasty off the list.
Why has the breast lift surpassed breast augmentation in popularity?
In 2023, approximately 300,000 breast augmentation procedures were performed, while breast lifts accounted for only about 150,000. In the United States, the regions with the highest rates of plastic surgery is the South Atlantic states—Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia—as well as North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
